This champagne displays a deep, lightly opaque color, rather dense and satiny. Its yellow-gold tinge presents reflections of a clear yellow straw. The champagne is enlivened by fine and vivacious bubbles, which make up a tenacious collar. The visual sensation indicates a fresh and nuanced wine.
The first nose evokes scents of honey, apricot, dried flowers, brioche and peach. Once aired, the champagne reveals notes of orange flower, lime-blossom, mandarine peel, apple, fleshy rose, mocha, accented by smokey, damp soil.
The approach on the palate is distinct and frank, with a smooth and creamy effervescence. The champagne develops a fruity, pulpy, stewed matter, sustained by an orange-citrus taut acidity. The middle of the mouth is orchestrated by a principally clay-based minerality, which gives it fullness, patina and a certain vinosity. The balance is maintained by the lack of dosage, which confers length and a hint of very pure orange towards the finale.
